Bergseeschijen 2819 m Alpine climbing
Seen from the south, the Bergseeschijen is an imposing peak. A splendid vantage point, it has great views west towards the Dammakette (mountain chain) as well as east towards the rock towers of the Salbit. On its south side there are many Plaisir climbs and along its base is a via ferrata. Many routes were renovated in 1988 by Toni Fullin, guardian of the Bergseehütte. In addition to the Bergseeschijen, the entire lake-area with its well secured granite routes continues to enchant climbers and alpinists. Countless hours spent re-equipping and new-routing means there are now 155 routes/ 450 pitches of bomber granite climbing here. Embedded in this climbing and touring paradise lies the crystal-clear mountain lake with the Bergseehütte standing beside it, where visitors will find their physical well-being restored.
