The view down upon the emerald-green Göscheneralpsee and the stunning panorama of winter mountains make up for the effort. Once the steep section is over, you'll be standing on the hut terrace, able to enjoy the view more fully.
Route description
Göscheneralp - Bergseehütte
From Hotel Dammagletscher (1782 m), follow a good path to the flat, boggy ground at «Auf dem Berg» (1951 m), then climb northwards in numerous hairpin bends up to the striking cross. From there its just a few minutes west to the hut.
