Route description

Bächlitalhütte - West summit of the Alplistock 2894 m

From the Bächlitalhütte (2328 m) start out in a westerly direction for about 100 m along the path that leads to the Bächligletscher. Now turn in a northerly direction, climbing first through a gully, and then slabby sections, up into the large scree amphitheatre at the foot of the Alplistock south face. Keep left and then climb through a pronounced couloir, east of P. 2758, which leads you rightwards onto the W ridge. Continue up the ridge (blocky and brittle) without too much difficulty to the W summit, 2894 m.
