Route description
Bächlitalhütte - start of the Southeast Ridge
From the Bächlitalhütte SAC head in a north-easterly direction via P. 2319 (Läckigang) to the base of the ridge.
Start of the Southeast Ridge - East Summit
Join the Southeast Ridge proper and follow this to the summit. The belays are bolted, as are the abseils and most difficult sections of climbing.
The steepest sections of the ridge are mostly bypassed on the east side.
Descent
From the east summit, head in a south-easterly direction via rock gullies and several small steps to reach a rappelling point from which you can abseil about 15 m to the uppermost part of the Bächlisblatti. Now continue moving down and right (looking out) beneath the SE foot of the east summit to join the route of the approach, then reverse this back to the Bächlitalhütte. Instead of returning to the hut it is also possible to descend directly over the Bächlisblatti towards Räterichsbodensee, joining the hut path further down, below P. 2155.
